Welcome to Open Forge! We are built on real-world connections. To keep our community safe, welcoming, and vibrant for everyone, we ask all members to follow these core principles. By participating in The Forge, you agree to uphold these standards in every meetup and event.

Respect Others

Treat everyone with respect—both online and in person.

Not allowed:

  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation

  • Hate speech or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or any protected characteristic

  • Personal attacks, insults, or threats

Keep It Safe

Open Forge is designed for real-world interaction. Safety is non-negotiable.

Not allowed:

  • Threats of violence or harm

  • Encouraging dangerous or illegal behavior

  • Sharing someone else’s personal or private information without consent

If something feels unsafe, report it immediately.

No Spame or Misleading Content

Keep interactions genuine and relevant.

Not allowed:

  • Spam messages or repetitive posting

  • Misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent events

  • Advertising or self-promotion unrelated to the event

Use Events Honestly

Events are the core of Open Forge. Use them responsibly.

Not allowed:

  • Creating fake events

  • Misrepresenting the purpose, location, or details of an event

  • Hosting events with harmful or inappropriate intent

Reporting & Enforcement

If you see something that violates these guidelines, report it through the app.

Open Forge may take action including:

  • Removing content

  • Suspending accounts

  • Permanently banning users

We reserve the right to act at our discretion to protect the community.

Keep Communication Appropriate

The chat feature is meant to coordinate and connect—not to exploit.

Not allowed:

  • Offensive, explicit, or inappropriate content

  • Unwanted advances or harassment

  • Sending harmful or disruptive messages

Follow the Law

You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws.

Not allowed:

  • Illegal activities of any kind

  • Promoting or organizing unlawful events

Build Something Positive

Open Forge is about showing up, doing things, and building connections.

We encourage:

  • Hosting meaningful, inclusive events

  • Welcoming new participants

  • Contributing to a positive and active community
